The CSIR NET exam will be administered by the authority twice a year, in June and December. Application process for CSIR NET 2025

- Click on the link for “Joint UGC CSIR NET June 2025” or similar, which will redirect you to the registration website.
- Create a new account using a unique email ID and mobile number.
- Generate your login ID and password.
- Fill the Application Form:
- After logging in, click on the “Apply Online” link.
- Enter all the required personal, educational, and other details.
- Note down the system-generated application number.
- Upload Required Documents:
- Scan and upload a recent passport-sized photograph in the specified format and size (10KB – 200KB).
- Upload a scanned signature (4KB – 30KB).
- Upload any required category certificates (PDF format, 50KB – 300KB).
- Upload other relevant documents as per the guidelines.
- Choose Exam Center, Subject, and Mode of Examination:

eligibility criteria for CSIR NET 2025
Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree:
- You must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant subject from a recognized university.
- Relevant Subjects:
- This includes Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, or Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean & Planetary Sciences.
- Minimum Marks:
- General and OBC candidates: 55% marks
- SC/ST/Divyangjan candidates: 50% marks
- Final Year Students:
- Candidates in the final year of their Master’s program can apply, but they must complete their degree within two years of passing CSIR NET to avail themselves of the JRF.
Age Limit:
- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Under 28 years.
- Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor: There is no age limit for Lectureship.
