Students will be benefited from the regular holidays apart from Sundays. They will enjoy the festivals and local celebrations but they will enjoy more when they will get a long holiday. The state education department has decided to give it early to make them safe from the heat waves and high temperature.

Various states have their own plan of distributing the Summer Holidays 2025.
In Telangana, the government has declared a 3-day holiday for all educational institutions like both public and private schools will have their holidays from April 12 to April 14, 2025. This extended weekend will be a much-appreciated break for both students and teachers.
As similar the Madhya Pradesh School Education Department has announced important details regarding summer vacation. According to the directive from the Madhya Pradesh Government School Education Department, students will have summer vacation from May 1 to June 15, while teachers will have their break from May 1 to May 31.These holidays will apply to all private and government schools in the state.

Also, likewise there will be summer vacation in Himachal Pradesh. The education department has declared holidays from July 12 to August 12. It will be of 32 days of vacation as compared to the previous year’s 38 days. In Himachal Pradesh four holidays in April have been canceled and there will be a summer break from June 1 to June 8. In certain areas like Nalagarh, Fatehpur, Nagarota Surian, Indora, Paonta Sahib, Kala Amb, and Una, summer vacation will take place from June 1 to June 30 along with a monsoon break from August 3 to August 12.
In Punjab, the schools will be remained close on several dates of April due to various festivals.

Schools in Kulluwill have the following breaks. They have the monsoon break which will take place from July 20 to August 12 while the winter break is scheduled from January 1 to January 14. Importance of summer holidays
In April, we normally feel less humid temperature than May and June. So as per the Meteorologists a long heat wave will arrived during last April to May. This news has led officials to change the vacation schedule. Nine districts have already noted high humidity levels that are unsafe which is resulting in modified school hours for younger children. In the summer vacation parents as well as students are guided to follow some instructions. The parents have to aware enough to know about the school announcements for any updates regarding exams and assignments. Taking care of the children is utmost responsibility of parents.
As the responsibility is on the shoulders of parents, they have to keep eyes on their children and should try to reduce the outdoor activities during the pick hours of 11 AM to 4 PM because of the heat wave. To avoid sunburn and dehydration, staying hydrated is must and using protective items such as hats and sunscreen is highly recommended. The schools are guided to use proper cooling systems in the classrooms. They have to carry ORS with them to give it to the students to make them hydrated.
